I guess this is good except that it causes a ton of chaos. I don't think there's actually anything I liked about CONEXED. > > **Minpunten**: There are soooo many things I dislike: 1) ugly, disorganized, difficult to read screen that makes it a challenge for me to see and understand my appointments for the day. 2) No counselor control over appointment start times--students can book them starting at 9:20, for example, rather than on the hour, half hour or quarter hour. 3) No counselor control over appointment blocks--I can end up with up to 17 half hour appointments in a day because I can't relegate a certain number of half hour vs 1 hour appointments. 4) Being chided by the system with a punitive message telling me the appointment has already ended when it hasn't and I'm trying to put in reason codes and check the student out. 5) The font size on the day at a glance is tiny and I still can't see all my appointments in one glance at the screen. 6) The student information is scattered all over a bunch of different tabs/areas, so rather than seeing name, ID, phone, email, DOB, etc. all in one place, I have to constantly click around and waste time to find the information. 7) Despite my setting not to receive emails about appointments, they come through anyway, constantly cluttering up my in-box. 8) It requires a super long learning curve and still isn't user-friendly. > > I abhor ConexEd and so does every single one of my colleages at City College of San Francisco with whom I've spoken about it. I feel this makes staff more accountable when they are out of the office, so they can check their schedule and make changes if last-minute meetings come up, conferences, etc. > > **Minpunten**: If a counselor has appointments in more than one subgroup, it would be nice to see their entire schedule across the subgroups that they're associated with. It's a feature that does not work all the time. A report that can easily be accessed when a counselor is out ill, that shows their appointments for the day. Right now we have to click on each individual appointment to see the student's contact information. When students select appointment times after selecting a reason code and date of appointment, they are still confused as to whom the appointment is with. The time of the appointment is more visible than the counselor's name. The time to load/refresh each subgroup is between 15-20 seconds, which can be inconvenient when trying to help a student over the phone. > > Using Campus Calibrate is taking some getting used to. The staff at ConexEd have been incredibly helpful and accommodating to our staff and faculty to help us get Campus Calibrate up and running. We are a large department with 50-60 counselors/advisors, and I sometimes think that this software isn't built to show more than 5-8 schedule in a comfortable view. They have made many updates and fixes to help our appointment processes run smoothly.
