Unwilling to work with home inventory customers as their primary focus now is on business users. > > The ease of data capture and inventory creation for home users was offset by a bait and switch subscription model. We spent countless hours setting up our home inventory in their system only to find s ourselves held hostage by an escalating subscription model that just crested $299 per month. This is highway robbery for consumers who only use their system for managing a home inventory for insurance purposes. When one considers how businesses transact and manage an inventory vs a home user, it would seem relatively simple to create pricing models that focus on monthly transaction volume as opposed to just record count but they were unwilling to work with me on a reasonable solution other than reducing the items in my home inventory. It has been very easy to upload items using a bulk file, but it's also easy to edit them if I didn't have all the information in my initial bulk file. The creation of labels and label printing is very user-friendly. I like the fact that I can choose where to start my labels on a label page so that I'm not wasting label sheets but I'm getting the most out of them. > > **Minpunten**: I'll preface this by saying I'm fairly new to Sortly but I already have nearly 600 items added to my database so I've gotten a fair amount of use of this product in the last few months, however, there may be features that I'm just not good at that may alleviate my issues (but I haven't found them). Three things... 1) There needs to be a better 'transactional' procedure for me to "checkout" items to employees from our inventory that I know they are not bringing back. I know that I can move them to a separate file for tracking but I want the peace of mind to know that they are out of my system completely and not involved in any sort of my inventory count. 2) I would like the ability to further customize my labels. I need mainly barcodes on the labels but there are only two sizes offered for them which means I have to print out a qr code label with all the pertinent information on it, then add a barcode. I know they both scan the same but I have barcode scanners that I need to use so a barcode has to be on there. 3) I have my inventory listed in 'sections' so I would like to see a feature where I could print off an inventory checklist for someone to count an individual section and report back so that I can make adjustments. > > My overall experience has been great and I will continue to use this product for years to come.
