Opmerkingen: Ik ben nog niet helemaal overtuigd indien we hiermee zullen verder werken maar ik ben wel enorm blij met de ondersteuning en de vlotheid waarmee ticketjes worden behandeld.
Pluspunten:
De service en ondersteuning bij vragen of zaken die niet goed lopen. De volledigheid van het aanbod op het platform van Odoo. De kostprijs.
Minpunten:
De beperking op vlak van het bouwen van de website (vroegere website was in Wix en de functionaliteiten zijn daar beter). Sommige zaken die fout lopen waarvoor telkens ticketjes moeten aangemaakt worden. Beperkingen op het eLearningplatform (en bijhorend forum).
Overwogen alternatieven: Wix, Billit en Mailchimp

Duur en veel systeemfouten op nochtans eenvoudige zaken
Opmerkingen: Leek fijn programma en niet te duur... Maar hebben een jaar tijd gespendeerd aan voorbereiding/ implementatie en ondertussen heel veel geld uitgegeven aan voor ons normale zaken die echter niet in het programma zaten. Ook 'golden partner' van Odoo waar we mee samenwerkten was allesbehalve golden en we waren genoodzaakt de samenwerking stop te zetten.
Pluspunten:
Alles gebeurt via internet. Dus gemakkelijk toegankelijk.
Minpunten:
Zeer duur. Lijkt oorspronkelijk goedkoop maar om het product geïmplementeerd te krijgen zoals je het wil ben je heel veel geld kwijt. Essentiële zaken werken niet: enkele vbn een order omzetten naar een verkoopfactuur met korting kontant geeft soms een ander eindbedrag op de factuur (meestal lager eindbedrag)OCR werkt maar half.. je moet steeds nog zelf wijzigingen aanbrengen..Labels afdrukken is na een jaar nog niet inorde. Kan je niet zelf maar moet door een specialist terzake gebeuren.[gevoelige inhoud verborgen] kent Odoo niet.. ook hier zeer omslachtige procedure. Boekhouding is echt een achteruitgang tov vorige pakket dat ik had.
Mijn eigen ervaring
Opmerkingen: Ik denk dat open source software beter is dan closed source software, want als je open source software gebruikt, bezit je die eigenlijk, en dit is een hoge veiligheidsfactor, maar closed source software huur je die software.
Pluspunten:
Heb je een bedrijf, dan heb je een bedrijfsmanagementprogramma nodig, en hier wil ik je vertellen over odoo. Het is een eenvoudig systeem voor het beheer van werknemers op afstand en het plannen van bedrijfsmiddelen.U kunt ook de financiële status van uw bedrijf en uw saldi volledig synchroon kennen, zodat u de zwakke plek in uw bedrijf kunt ontdekken en deze onmiddellijk kunt versterken. het organiseren van meetings en calls met klanten en medewerkers, het is, kortom, een geïntegreerd softwarepakket om Work efficiënt en volledig onder controle te houden. odoo is een Belgisch bedrijf dat begon met tien werknemers en nu meer dan 9 regionale kantoren over de hele wereld en 5 miljoen gebruikers heeft.
Minpunten:
Wat betreft een open source-programma, ik denk dat er bijna geen defecten zijn. De programmeertaal is Python, en het is heel gemakkelijk, maar misschien moet je code kopen voor een goedkope prijs.
Bizar slechte klantenservice, eindgebruiker is nummertje.
Opmerkingen: Mijn persoonlijke ervaring is niet goed, Odoo gedraagt zich zeer arrogant, en komt niet met concrete oplossingen, eindgebruikers zijn de klos! Als je voor Odoo gaat, denk dan eerst goed na, test alles door, en betaal pas als alles werkt!
Pluspunten:
Functies, voor een goede prijs. Maar dan moet het wel werken zoals geadverteerd, en dat doet het niet.
Minpunten:
Je bent voor het koppelen van een webshop afhankelijk van een 3e partij, de connector waar wij mee werken werk vanaf dag 1 niet goed. De developer van deze connector heeft het bijltje erbij neer gelegd. En Odoo zelf, doet niks om de eindgebruiker te helpen, en verwijzen naar onze partner, die net als ons ook niks kan. Als je een platform aanbied met plugins van 3e partijen, controleer dan op zijn minst de kwaliteit, en als de developer zijn afspraken niet nakomt, dan verwijder je deze van het platform todat ze hun afspraken nagekomen zijn. Als je als eindgebruiker niet betaald word je meteen afgesloten, maar als je een flut-plugin online zet, dan mag je hier geld mee verdienen en je bent niet verplicht om service te verlenen en het probleem op te lossen. Bizar!
Odoo, een ware openbaring als je met andere paketten hebt gewerkt

- Positief, het heeft wat tijd gekost om iedereen op een lijn te krijgen
- Als je uit een spreadsheet gedreven omgeving komt ben je de flexibiliteit wel kwijt, dit geldt echter voor alle ERP systemen
Pluspunten:
- All-in-one, alle data in een systeem, geen koppelingen, geen download en upload - Gebruiksgemak - Flexibele rapportage
Minpunten:
- Financieel is wel even wennen zeker als je een ander pakket gewend bent - Implementatie tijd, door zijn geintegeerdheid moet je heel goed weten waar je mee bezig bent

My Thoughts on Odoo (so far)
Opmerkingen: Overall, I would say my experience with Odoo has been both frustrating and rewarding. It is such a powerful tool, but takes lots of dedication, planning, and testing to really understand how the system works, and how to tailor it for unique business / supply chain challenges. We don't sell widgets that are identical to one another. Everything we buy and sell has unique characteristics which is difficult to transcribe in an ERP system. Odoo is an ERP system that has the flexibility to handle these types of challenges.
Pluspunten:
I want to give a shoutout to [sensitive content hidden] who has been our Business Analyst. He's done an excellent job learning how our business operates, and finding solutions to tailor fit Odoo's platform to our particular business challenges. He's been efficient with his implementations, and has been a great partner in getting the most bang for our buck on development needs. Ease of Use. Once you spend a good week using the system, it becomes fairly easy to use and customize.
Minpunten:
Odoo has been difficult to package purchases into shipping units, which for us are truckload quantities. Odoo has made it difficult to translate between different units of measure that can convert. I wish that I could implement Tableau dashboards into Odoo for executive views.

Great Product, Complicated Startup
Opmerkingen: Working with Tahoe as our Support Guru has made all the difference in the world. The software is complicated to setup and customize. Having someone that responds quickly and gets back to your with answers has help tremendously. We love the product.

The best ERP system for small and mid-sized business
Opmerkingen: Overall, it is a good experience. It would be even better if the few bugs we experience are ironed out and if user rights are easier to manage as a non-technical person.

It's ability to be modified, while still offering an excellent out of the box solution at a good price.

Love Odoo software. Odoo Service Pack for setup is HORRIBLE!
Opmerkingen: I strongly discourage anyone from using the Odoo Training Service Pack of hours. We had a horrible experience. The Business Service Analysts who work with you are a joke. I imagine there are some good ones. The program is set up poorly from square one. Regardless of your type of business, you receive the BSA who becomes available next. Even if they have no experience, or relatively little, with your industry. You only have ONE person. Not a team of people. To top it off, we had 3 BSA and all were within their first few months with Odoo. I wish I had a dollar for every time our first BSA said "I don't know." I will be escalating my fight with Odoo to receive a refund for some hours. For instance, we were charged for cancelling a weekly meeting that wasn't confirmed since I was literally in a foreign jungle with very spotty internet. Yet, when our BSA didn't show up one week and we had to email (there is no way to call your BSA) to find out via auto-reply that he was out of the office, well...there was no offsetting penalty against Odoo. We were charged many hours for slow work that I can now do myself in half the time! Use a third party company that specializes in your industry or is close to your location and can visit. The Odoo BSA Service Pack program is so poor that the company actually told me that "We don't guarantee the quality of our service." That should tell you all that you need to know about paying Odoo for implementation of your program.
Pluspunten:
There are so many apps/modules that can all be integrated. You can pick and choose which apps to start with and add more as you need or fee comfortable. Small or large businesses can successfully use Odoo.
Minpunten:
Some things are a bit comlex for a small company with limited people to implement what we want. We are a CUSTOM PRODUCTS manufacturing company and there aren't as many resources to learn how to handle manufacturing custom products. Odoo would be great for building a house or an airplane. But I'm struggling to figure out how to have a good flow with 100 orders a day for custom rubber stamps, nameplates, signs and embroidery.
Overwogen alternatieven: QuickBooks Desktop en NetSuite
Redenen om voor Odoo te kiezen: The software we switched from is a proprietary program from our small industry and is not listed above. While the software is great for manufacturing in our industry, everything else is not nearly as efficient or effective as what Odoo has. The accounting is especially poor. Reporting is even worse than poor!

Redenen om over te stappen op Odoo: QuickBooks couldn't handle some basic invoicing and shipping functions much to my surprise. NetSuite was incredibly much more expensive for much less capability.
Amazing ERP/MRP system!
Opmerkingen: Overall, the Odoo system is incredible. No more paying for each additional module you need. It is all included. They offer a free version if you only need a single module... Who does that? If you are in the market for a user-friendly ERP or MRP system, look no further.
Pluspunten:
Odoo is very user-friendly and the Odoo team is absolutely phenominal. The software is extremely customizable and offers a plethora of features out of the box.
Minpunten:
The subscription fee is due upfront. This can be a little daunting if you are looking for a longer term.

I wish I had only signed up to pay monthly, but my "account manager" convinced me that signing up for a year and adding all the users upfront would be cheaper. I started with using the platform to replace QuickBooks. I paid for a two-hour support session with my rep, and during the call, he had to look up or ask somebody else for the answers to my questions on how to do something. By the end of the call, he had not answered how to enter beginning balances. It is a basic function of accounting software, but he didn’t know and said he would get back to me. Here we are three months later, and he hasn't gotten back to me. There were other outstanding items I needed answers to, but he hasn't responded to any of my emails. I emailed him asking for a phone call, but I got ghosted. I contacted customer support to help me connect my banking account to the application, and it took them three weeks to respond, and their answer didn’t fix it. I run a business, and waiting three weeks for that is just unacceptable. Getting no response from my "Account Manager" is unacceptable. Clearly, he's got the wrong title because he manages nothing! He can't even do his job.
So, now, this gets worse. I asked for a refund because the platform is unusable to me. Guess what? I won't be getting one. Why, you ask? Because the company is based in Belgium and I am in the States. Seriously, that's the reason they gave me. WHAT THE HECK?
I've now switched to Zoho and can't be happier! Please consider my experience and try something else instead!

The applications are not user-friendly! I'm good at learning software, but this one is foreign and complicated. The customer service is HORRIBLE!

My opinion about Odoo.
Opmerkingen: As an Odoo user, my overall experience has been a mix of clear benefits and challenges. Starting with the positive, I love the flexibility of the system. The ability to customize and tailor applications to my business’s specific needs has been a huge plus. The fact that everything is integrated into one system – sales, accounting, inventory, and marketing – really helps make workflows smoother and improves overall visibility into operations. The interface is fairly modern and easy to understand, which is great for someone who doesn’t have much technical knowledge. However, when it comes to more advanced setups, I have found myself needing to hire a consultant for initial implementation as some aspects of the system can be quite complex.
Pluspunten:
I really like its user-friendly and modern interface. This software has an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. As it is an open source software, Odoo is very flexible to customize applications according to the needs of the company. Odoo integrates all areas of the business very well, facilitating the management of business processes from accounting and sales to inventory and marketing.
Minpunten:
Initial setup and customization can require a lot of time, technical knowledge or expert help. Sometimes, when we want to upgrade Odoo to a new version, previous customizations may not be compatible, causing additional effort to adapt custom integrations or modules. Otherwise, all is well.
Oddo is recomendable to other companies like us
Opmerkingen: Overall, it's good! But I'm worried about new changes in the latest version to come, which will generate tablets on the shop floor, the need for reconfiguring the hardware, and the need for new training for the personnel to get to speed while producing simultaneously.

There were constant changes in the account manager, we were receiving no responses from the person who already left and the new person in charge was starting to be present. A time gap in between left us with no responses from this important role
