It's interface and ease of use make it easy to create tool paths with accuracy and post to our 4 axis Makino Mills. I have use other software packages, such as Gibbs Cam and 3D AutoCAD, but they do not offer the same ease of use interface as Mastercam in my opinion. Also, many of the large Aerospace, Military \& Defense contractors, such as Lockheed Martin and Parker Hanifin are going to 3D models, so as a tier 1 supplier to these large corporations, Mastercam helps us easily extract the GD\&T and PMI from these models to create manufacturing process print. > > **Minpunten**: I would say the only advantage Gibbs Cam had over Mastercam is the solid 3D model (similar to the old "Inventor" software I used early in my career as a mechanical engineer).
