Opmerkingen: Tableau overall is a very suitable software for data visualisation and business intelligence. It is easy to use and very interesting.

Pluspunten:

Easy to use. Industry standard. Value for money. Large community. Recognised certificates. A year free plan for Students and Instructors. Can handle huge size of data. Charts and Visualizations can be embedded on websites and other spftwares like power point.

Minpunten:

Tableau prep is not as easy to use as MS Excel.

Opmerkingen: My experience is average, before I used it more often, however, I use it less and less nowadays

I have presented slowness with the tool and there are also other attractive options on the market, both in usefulness and price

Opmerkingen: The best visualization tool on the market so far. I highly recommend this if you want to improve your dashboard.

Pluspunten:

One of Tableau's most useful features is its flexibility in filtering dashboards. Information that is easy to understand, demonstrate, and derive. A drag-and-drop interface allows each group to quickly and easily extract useful data.

Minpunten:

There are limits to the external images that you can import into Tableau workbooks. Tableau can become very slow when processing heavy tables.

Opmerkingen: Tableau has shown us why it is the greatest tool for analyzing business data by offering us a very solid five star experience. It has showed us the way of making the right decisions based on the actual real data. With Tableau, we have been able to have in-depth analysis on our data which help get the insights to guide us on how to improve our business.

Pluspunten:

It was impressively easy to customize Tableau to fit our analytics needs and have it integrate to our working infrastructure. Tableau has very superior AI analytics that help us get in-depth analysis on our data to extract the most useful insights. It also easy to visualize the insights using easy to understand visual dashboards. The reporting function in Tableau allow us to document our insights for easier sharing and future referencing.

Minpunten:

Everything about Tableau has been so on point so far. There has been nothing negative to report about it.

Opmerkingen: Tableau is amazing software that has greatly aided our data analysis efforts. Tableau meets all of our needs for data analysis and dashboard creation. The nicest element is that direct use of ad hoc data needs is possible, with no dependencies.

Pluspunten:

One of the most useful features of Tableau is the flexibility with which its dashboards may be filtered. Information that is simple to understand, demonstrate, and infer. Any group may quickly and simply extract useful data thanks to a drag-and-drop interface.

Minpunten:

Data syncing problems can cause the dashboards to malfunction. Notifications about impending outages would be greatly appreciated. however, that shouldn't be a deal breaker.

Opmerkingen: The overall experience is good. I have created many important visuals on the platform.

Pluspunten:

I think Tableau is up there when it comes to data visualization. One is able to create complex data visuals as one wishes. Secondly, one is able to perform arithmetic on the data as you create the visuals. Tableau is the best platform for data analysts and the whole business community.

Minpunten:

When creating visuals, Tableau chooses the type of chart to use according to the type of data you have. For instance, one is not able to create a line chart unless data involving dates is used. This can be really annoying.

Revolutionary software in the field of data

Opmerkingen: Tableau is faster than other business intelligence tools. I'm sure Tableau can bring revolution in the field data. I recommend it.

Superb software for those who work with data. If you are data engineer, data analyst , data scientist, teacher, student or business own you should try it once.

Tableau has nothing dislike thing. It's amazing software. It can solve almost all problems related with data. Whether you want reporting or data processing. It can handle very easily.

Exceptional Data Visualization Tool & Dashboard

Opmerkingen: Still Learning to create the dashboard & integrating BigData like Google's Big Query and its fun while building visualization. I enjoyed creating Visualization for one of the Clothing Brands in Surat, India.

Pluspunten:

It supports Python, so customized visualization is possible (for Python programmers, it's easy) to create their own custom dashboard and visualization.

Minpunten:

It's a bit costly, where PowerBI is free.

Tableau helps us understand and appreciate data and what it means to the organization in improving operations and efficiency. Familiarizing ourselves with data filtering, grouping and segmenting. It is key in improving the process of data analysis by eliminating defects. It has eventually improved customer experiences, allows us to make better decisions and helps guide our marketing strategies towards success.

Minpunten:

Sending larger files especially to multiple destinations can end up catastrophic. It can stop and you end up losing your files.

What I Experience with Tableau in Data Visualization

Pluspunten:

Manual data analysis is prone to errors and way too tedious. Tableau automate data modeling, preparation, cataloging and visualization.

Minpunten:

Some features on free version are weak compared to premium plan.

Tableau is Fantastic for Shippers

Opmerkingen: Overall I’ve really enjoyed the program. It puts data into visuals that we can then share with our carriers. We have the ability to use it for inside information or carrier facing information.

Pluspunten:

As a shipper who is always looking for solid carriers this program provides unique visuals that we can show our carriers. A lot of carriers are used to just seeing the data in an Excel format, so having the visuals elevated their experience with us.

Minpunten:

Tableau can be a little tedious and has a less intuitive program than other systems. Once you overcome the learning curve it is a great system.

Great for data storage and visulation

Pluspunten:

My team was able to successfully set up a nightly data feed from Technolutions Slate to Tableau to store historical admissions data. It was important to implement Tableau because there's no way that takes snapshots of data in Slate as it's always changing. Once the data storage was set up my team was able to create many different dashboards to display complicated data to other team members to use. One dashboard we were able to create uses slate data from many different storage tables and pulls together appointment data over time so I can monitor workload volume. This has been a really useful visualization tool.

Minpunten:

You will definitely need a data and Excel expert to set up the dashboard and reporting initially as there's a little clunkiness and set it up charts but it still does the job.

Essential for project KPIs and management

Pluspunten:

Visualisation and ease of automized dashboard creation. It was simple to connect it to other tools and it connected and consolidated everything in one place.

Minpunten:

The inputs had to be very exact in order for the outputs to be correct. Sometimes this made consolidation challenging. Uniformity was required across all inputs and sources.

Efficient, effective and useful.

Pluspunten:

The way you can display the important information you need and being able to create multiple dashboards. Along with the fact you can easily see the breakdown of the KPI's and compare it.

Minpunten:

The time it takes to update the information generated. In most cases it took 2 full days to get the most recent information on the KPI's

Good BI Tool

Opmerkingen: Tableau Online is a nice and good tool with some cons

Pluspunten:

Tableau is a very easy tool for the use of the creation of Dashborad for data visualization with different connectors,with the drag and drop option & with various functions it makes the job simpler

Minpunten:

We are currently getting data for Tableau Online from DB via a Flow created in Tableau Online, if the flow fails we are not seeing exact error message why the flow is failed it just says Failed an Error occured, it will be good to have the exact error message displayed

Best data tool for visualization and reporting

Opmerkingen: I've been using Tableau for 9 years and I've tested other multiple options and no one like Tableau. If you put all pros and cons, Tableau always win!

Ease of use. Learning curve. Multiple options for visualizations. Can be used from beginners to experts.

Minpunten:

When your organization needs to have multiple users connected in real time, If data source is using live connections, the user experience could be bad.

An amazing tool for data visualization

Opmerkingen: We have realized a huge number of dashboard for our web platform, without writing a single line of code. This is the true power of Tableau

Pluspunten:

Simple, easy to use and yet fully customizable. Tableau is a cheap solutions to visualize your data or to prepare shareable dashboard or event plots to be embedded in external websites.

Minpunten:

There is a limit on external images that you can import in your Tableau workbooks. Sometimes Tableau is quite slow when processing heavy tables.

I can see our status on multiple fronts so clearly!!

Opmerkingen: Love it's capabilities. Wish it was easier for me to manipulate. I have to rely on a couple team members who are way more experienced in it than I am to create anything new.

Pluspunten:

Great visualization capabilities helps me see how I am doing compared to this year's goals on multiple objectives and how we are doing year over year...without having to manipulate the raw data on my own. Being able to have Tableau refresh the data source with the most recent info each time I open the dashboard is so important!

Minpunten:

Takes awhile and a lot of practice to understand how to set up the worksheets so they answer the questions you are looking to answer. Dashboards are more so.

Identifying potential problems

Opmerkingen: I have used Tableau for a number of years and do trust it's results and functionality, if it was a little quicker and instantaneous it would be a dream. Overall very satisfied

The reporting feels very accurate, which gives me confidence in our weekly/monthly/yearly results

Minpunten:

It is very slow to load reports, especially when result is required as matter of urgency, and the lack of live data

One of the best data visualization software out there. It can collect data from a variety of sources, and then create beautiful reports and dashboards out of it. Almost every data person I know swears by Tableau for its feature depth and functionality.

Minpunten:

Learning curve can be steep for advanced functionality. Since tableau has existed for a long time, the UI hasn't improved very much.

Tableau is one of the best data visualization tools out in the market, it allows you to produce highly customizable, appealing visualizations and dashboards. I have used plenty of data visualization tools, but Tableau takes the cake.

Nothing I can think of, Tableau is a great tool, very easy to use and share with teams

Intimidating for amateurs but incredibly useful

Opmerkingen: I used it first as a user viewing data in a retail environment. Reports were easy to keep updated and the data viewing choices meant different managers were able to customize the look of their data.
Now I have used it creating reports for myself. I enjoy using it more than salesforce reports as I get that extra level of customization and think that it simply looks better.

Pluspunten:

The customization of your dashboards is unparalleled. The tools to get started help anyone, even those with basic or no sql skills to be able to put together basic reports. No better solution in my opinion for being a hub for KPI tracking across a company.

Minpunten:

The learning curve is steep. Imported data needs to be clean or you are going to struggle with larger datasets but that is true of all data visualization tool.
