It has helped us to keep our work well organized making it simple to tackle all tasks and meet projects objectives within the budgeted time frame. Pluspunten:

Basecamp has project dashboards that help us to visualize our tasks making it easy to follow up on their progress. It has very effective team collaboration features that help us to communicate and work more closely together as a team. Its reporting features provide us with detailed reports that has all the insights we need to know about our projects. Basecamp also has top-notch data safety functions that keep all our projects data safe and secure. It also has Gantt charts that help us to plan and organize our tasks.

Minpunten:

Basecamp has proved fit to solve our needs and has never disappointed us in any way. There lacks anything to dislike.

Decent software. Could be better.

Opmerkingen: Basecamp works well and is a decent project management tool. If you have no used other project management tools than you will find it very helpful. However, if you have used software like Asana or Mondays, you quickly realize the limitations of Basecamp.

Basecamp has single page projects that are relatively simple to use. The to-do lists are easy to use as well. Basecamp can also handle large file transfers.

Minpunten:

Basecamp isn’t the most user friendly software available. It’s quirky and somewhat difficult to figure out what to do if you aren’t familiar with the software.

Better suited to larger projects but still useful for smaller teams

Opmerkingen: Used for mostly small projects, feels like overkill for anything with minimal moving parts, so other tools such as trello might be more suitable for those, but more than does the job and can be a good push to use some of the more in depth functionality to improve efficiency / comms / files/todos etc

Extensive suite of features, can manage large projects easily and across larger teams, and with several complex moving parts. Good file storage, threads, to dos, can do a lot with it

Minpunten:

Can be overly complex/overkill for smaller projects. Needs a bit of tweaking to get it to match your requirements re: communications cadence, use of features, and mild training with internal/external team

The simplicity. Compared to other project management tools, Basecamp offered a simple to navigate system which was very user friendly.

Best use for Management

Opmerkingen: My Overall Experience using basecamp is good. It is my daily activity to update my basecamp tasks so that everybody in the team would know about the update on the task.
Manager would check the update and will check the basecamp and if he/she find the task is updated with all the requirement they close the task which is best satifaction moment like "this is complete to do" something like this

Pluspunten:

Simplicity to use the project. It is very easy to use and from day one you can learn how to use this. It provided every morning notification mail on all the updates of the basecamp task. Its due date feature help to check the date prior which we have to complete the task

Minpunten:

To be honest i did not find any cons about basecamp its simple to use and provide notifications according. Only one thing i like less is i am not able to resize the picture which i paste on my basecamp task i think basecamp should work on that

Opmerkingen: Using Basecamp has been a really fruitful experience. It made working on remote projects easier and more productive for us, as there were no communication problems. Basecamp provides a shared dashboard that displays all project details, including plans and progress, which further aids in keeping us all in the loop regarding the project activity.

Pluspunten:

Basecamp provides a really helpful group chat feature that lets us communicate in real time, no matter where we are in the world. This enables us to have extremely fruitful conversations, particularly while working remotely, which produces outcomes that are just as good as those obtained when working on-site. It gives us access to a shared dashboard where we can monitor the work that has already been completed, the work that is scheduled, and how our job is to be completed. It's simple and extremely safe to share files and other materials.

For a free software - a great starting point for project management

It was free and was a great project management tool for the stage of our company at the time.

It was extremely easy to let customer chats on specific tasks drag on way too long and then it was difficult to go back and review what went on.

Go all in and this will work the best.

Opmerkingen: Overall it was a great bang for our buck. As with all software it duplicated many functions that we achieved with different apps, so I would recommend using this app 100% for the best effect. (eg. if you use this for document organization only, but use Slack for chat, Outlook/G-Suite for messaging communications, and calendar, you'll get frustrated with having to monitor multiple platforms at once and you'll end up wasting a lot of time.

Pluspunten:

BaseCamp had great tools for managing document versions, contracts, schedules, date reminders, tasks, task templates (repeating steps to similar projects), and the interface was good for amortizing tasks for users at stages of the projects.

Minpunten:

Sometimes getting to a view where you could have a mile high look at your tasks and projects in a way that was digestible and actionable was a little tough. It is very linear and text heavy, so great for folks with a mind for text and words. Not great for those with visual, graphic or pictorial learning and memory styles.
