What I like most about Grammarly business is that it has improved my writing skills and techniques by correcting errors and giving style-writing suggestions. It also sends me a monthly overview of usage.

Minpunten:

One thing that I don't like about Grammarly Business is the monthly subscription I need to pay when I sometimes don't have the finances to keep up with the subscription. Secondly, it is not available off-line.

Greedy Company lacks customer respect! Abusing of digital data use.

It's really annoying how many times and how intensely Grammarly have been trying to make us swallow their new plan. We are already a subscriber of PREMIUM and are NOTE INTERESTED in the next TIER. Every text I write keeps popin up the suggestion to upgrade the plan, because the Premium is not enough. I have clicked on "dismiss" countless times, so it keeps popping up on every new page or tab I open. This lack of respect with your customers shows how greedy Grammarly company is.

My job requires me to communicate in US English, which is not my native language. I'm also used to British English. In a professional customer-facing context, getting the spelling and grammar right and writing concisely, clearly, and vividly is essential. Grammarly helps me to do that. Gammarly works for everything you type, including web and desktop applications. The suggestions are spot-on. Not only does it improve my writing, but I also develop my English skills. The desired writing style can be meticulously tweaked in the Preferences section. The Gen AI feature comes up with useful suggestions.

Minpunten:

Nothing noteworthy, really. Sometimes, Grammarly improves its own suggested edits, which can be annoying from a usability perspective. Also, markup may get lost if a text is rewritten. These are just minor things.

it offers way more than spellcheck - some will love that, others will tolerate

Opmerkingen: Grammerly is one of those rare applications that seem to simply get it right. It offers a limited specific set of services and performs them all exceptionally well. I can even say that on several occasions I've had reason to contact their customer service and it was exemplary every time. It seemed like a team of highly skilled and highly motivated folks working together to make a great product. They listened, responded and acted at a level rarely seen in the software industry.

I like it's ease of use - a single click on a suggested correction will execute it. I like most grammatical suggestions, although I'm confidfent enough in my wrting skill that i can ignore grammar suggestions when I think they serve only to skim nuance from my sentences. I like that some grammatical usages and dictionary entries can be customized for the company, while others can be stored by individual user. And I really like the Productivty Summary that arrives in my Inbox every Monday morning - it is a fun and engaging piece of analysis and the measures it relays actually do matter..

Minpunten:

Because it works seamlessly with every application I use, and it doesn't force me to write in a voice that's not my own, I find little to complain about with Grammerly. My "usage" scores often seem low but there are a certain set of constructs that are simply part of my style; they don't offend anyone I care about, their meaning is clear and therefore I reject the notion that they're not grammatical. This is what consisently lowers my usage score. I shall praise grammerly with faint damnation when I suggest that the one area I would really like to see improved is the analytics. It would be great for users to be able to access much more detail about their usage and productivty over extended periods of time, and compares these to other employees within the company and to the universe outside.

I have found it very valuable not only to avoid typical mistakes/ typos but to also adjust the writing structure and wording according to the tone/ modulation I like to express (AI-based feature).

Opmerkingen: I wrote really fast and send multiple emails and gig offers a day from my work platform. Before grammarly business, my emails sounded like an inexperienced child with no confidence was writing it. I speak well but it doesn't come out professionally in my writing. Grammarly cleans it up with alternative more professional words and finds all the small mistakes I would have otherwise overlooked.

It sometimes changes the words or the phrases improperly, so it makes my sentences end up having totally different meanings. So If you are an English second language speaker and want to get some help from Grammarly, you still need to pay attention not to be off from the topic after getting corrected by Grammarly.
