Pluspunten:

Samsara allows me to accurately track and monitor my fleet of vehicles. Safety inspections allow tracking of vehicle service and maintenance. Also, the app allows drivers to login lunch breaks. This app has everything you need to monitor drivers and vehicles.

Minpunten:

What I like least about samsara is the price of the service.

Opmerkingen: Our experience overall has been a good one. The camera's have helped out out in several situations where the actual person at fault could have gotten off.

Pluspunten:

The ease of use. How it can be used to get out of sticky situations when incidents occur. Has also helped with lowering idle times.

Minpunten:

Having to pay extra for things that should be included in your monthly payment.

Samsara Telematics and Dash Cams Fully Recommend!

Opmerkingen: My experience has been going great, then I expected. I've gotten all the help from a great samsara team; they were able to make everything so easy and hands on. Which has made my job easier and help all the drivers stay safe,

Pluspunten:

As a fleet safety officer, with all the great technology system and great information provided from Samsara, I am able to monitor all my fleet and keep everyone safe.

Minpunten:

So far, have nothing to complain, due to everything has been great with all the vehicle telematics.

Samsara renewal is a joke

Opmerkingen: They are well above price of their competitors. Verizon's Connect is $5 per device per month cheaper and their customer service is unparalleled. They are quick to get your money and then ghost customers that have been loyal for over 3 years. They had so much going for them. But they have a 1.2 out of 5 rating on BBB and their google reviews are in the tank. They respond with a generic response but don't actually do anything.

Pluspunten:

The equipment works and we were able to track the vehicles. The ai feature works great.

Minpunten:

The customer service. [sensitive content hidden] will not answer your messages or phone calls. We were suppose to do a renewal and he is absent. There is a bottleneck for the renewal where you can only deal with him. His management team doesn't intervene. You are left at his disposal. 3 weeks in the process of renewal with 7 systems failing. You can't buy replacements because you have to be in contract.

Opmerkingen: Absolutely fantastic. Support has been so much better as the company has evolved into a better app and online experience.

Pluspunten:

Instant video of accidents and issues. We are able to get quick footage in the event of a major accident.

Minpunten:

My only issue is not being able to assign drivers to there vehicle. We typically make many changes in that area as a school district.

All-In-One

Opmerkingen: I noticed the outstanding functionality and superiority of Samsara over our previous ELD and Safety Solution provider as soon as we switched to Samsara 2 years ago. It's been a great experience and i always look forward for new features and improvements that are offered by Samsara. "Feature Management" and "What's New" are my to-go places to learn about the newest features and improvements in Samsara and they are usually very exciting.

Pluspunten:

I like the evolving technology in Samsara and the ability to run the operation on single platform.

Minpunten:

Not being able to manage equipment or vehicles (like rentals) without a VG.

Pluspunten:

It never had any issues with the location and you were able to switch it to personal convenience while in motion.

I never had any issues with it. I was driving under someone else's company so it worked perfectly for me.

I love Samsara

Opmerkingen: I like it a lot, easy to use, easy to have the information from reports, easy to identify any kind of situation on the way. Also this provide us a very good tool of tracking to offer to our customers and drivers

I love to have the information on time and real, that is the reason I choose Reports Routes Tracking

I did not figure out it yet, but could be that I do not know how integrate some of the apps in Samsara to my daily activities

Overall, Amazing Logbook!

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with Samsara has been very favorable. As I mentioned before, they provide great service with their products. Very few times have we had issues, but when we do a ticket is created and solved promptly. I would definitely recommend this product to other carriers.

Pluspunten:

I like that we are able to share this live tracking, including what day & what time the link expires. It's also very simple to use, it gives me a breakdown as to fuel, miles per state, etc. There is lots of good features it has in our favor.

Minpunten:

I don't like the fact that the HOS change randomly. One minute my driver can have 1 hour left, and the next minute he has no HOS left.. It sometimes is hard to know exactly how many HOS driver actually has

Great and reliable GPS

Opmerkingen: Reliable and easy to use. when we switch from our previous GPS tracking the feature that i like a lot is that is very ise to shared the tracking links.

Pluspunten:

that is easy to share tracking links to my customers even from my mobile device

that u cant check driver hours from the mobile app like the web.

Douglas Lumber Samsara Review

Opmerkingen: Overall, this application is hands down the best vehicle tracking system we've ever used here.

Pluspunten:

Overall we love how easy this is to use. The ability to track vehicles accurately is huge for us at Douglas Lumber. Vehicle Diagnostics is also a huge help and makes scheduling service for our fleet easy!

Minpunten:

The way the tracking system shows times. Trying to figure out the point in time a vehicle was near a certain address on its route is a little less cut and dry than other aspects of the tracking system.

Samsara in the EMS setting

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with Samsara has been very positive. Starting with the sales rep [sensitive content hidden] W, he was very professional, knowledgeable about the product and very eager to assist with any questions we had. The product delivery was very fast and was well packaged. Installation of the product was very easy and with [sensitive content hidden] help was done within a few hours. Setup of the system was very simple and the tutorial videos made it easy to navigate the dashboard. All that said I don't know why every Company doesn't utilize this system.

Pluspunten:

Samsara is user friendly and takes much of the guess work out of locating our Ambulances. Whether using on mobile device or on a computer Samsara has become a vital part of our everyday operations. We use Samsara for Maintenance tracking/documentation, real time tracking of assets along with monitoring of safety concerns.

Minpunten:

I personally have not found anything with this system that I like less than any other feature.

A life saver for fleet safety.

Opmerkingen: Samsara is awesome and as long as I am responsible for a drivers safety, the vehicle will have a Samsara camera.

Pluspunten:

The things I like most about Samsara is it helps with investigations and litigation. I think the ability to verify driver behavior when the public calls in to report a concern is critical. Being updated on when something happens that I need to be aware of makes monitoring team safety much easier.

Minpunten:

Sometimes it reports things that shouldnt be reported. Seatbelt violations when the person is very clearly wearing a seatbelt, or a stop sign violation when the stop sign was for a different lane.

The Help of Samsara

Opmerkingen: Samsara has helped our business in many ways. Being able to see what our drivers are doing helps our company save money. Being able to submit videos when collisions happen and submitting to our insurance company is a bonus.

Pluspunten:

I like that we can see where every truck is and what they are doing. When we are paying drivers by the hour we monitor where they are going at all times and how long they are at every stop. The cameras have especially helped us when accidents are video captured when submitting to ICBC.

Minpunten:

The video history somehow needs to be captured when needed. I believe you can only go back a certain number of weeks, or you cannot request to retrieve it.

Samsara for You

Pluspunten:

Dash cams are a great tool that helps us see what our drivers see. Helps most when there are incidents or concerns that we need to monitor and review.

Minpunten:

Only concern is that it is a cellular based telematics system. meaning that it can lose connection if not in good cell coverage. Being a trucking company, sending drivers north can be a little nerve racking as it loses connection.

Best bang for your buck

Pluspunten:

Samsara has been hands down one of the easiest telematics providers we have worked with. They have gotten the product out immediately, and made activating these devices seamless. They have also offered the best pricing that I have seen in the industry.

Minpunten:

We still have not been able to get all the data points we want from our entire fleet. While Samsara has tried to help with some information, it feels we are still on our own to ultimately troubleshoot.

Samsara is good for any fleet size

Opmerkingen: I think Samsara overall is a good company and has a good range of products for any fleet size. There are a lot of pros and cons, but the pros for me outweigh the cons.

Pluspunten:

Samsara has a wide range of equipment and a comprehensive package of tools to monitor your fleet safety, compliance, temperature control monitoring, and other aspects of your fleet with plenty of reporting and setting options.

Minpunten:

I do not like the customer support. You get the run around and escalation process via email and on the phone with people you can hardly understand. I have bad module units that should have been under warranty. We ended up just throwing them in the back room and purchasing new ones. That is not how customer service should be, but the fact of how frustrating it got.

Honest review

Pluspunten:

I like a lot of the different options that us can use with Samsara. I use it daily for tracking equipment and see what was down for the day.

Minpunten:

At some times during the day it dose seam to cut out and not record when the vehicle is in motion and don't map it.
