What i like most about WordPress is its Versatility. WordPress has thousands of plugins such as Yoast that is an SEO plugin and WooCommerce that is an Ecommerce Plugin. The plugins come in handy if a person wants to sell products on their site and monitor the site visits. Additionally, WordPress can be used to create medium sized to large-scale websites thereby offering unapparelled scalability options from small content creators to large companies. Furthermore, it has a drag and drop feature that allows new users to create pages and layouts without writing code making the whole process simple and interactive.

Minpunten:

WordPress is a great website builder. Its friendly user interface, numerous plugins make it super efficient thereby there is nothing i do not like about the software.

I really wish there was a better way to download your product when you're done if you'd like to keep it for yourself. I did find a way to print it using a third party which was nice. I believe this option has been added since I last needed it.

If the plugin is backward that Wordpress than the website does not display. Very difficult to get back the website. Found easily gets hacked if you do not follow up to date things .

That sheer flexibility has a cost. There are many moving parts. WordPress can be amazing in the hands of someone who is patient, has some technical aptitude, and willing to learn how to navigate the platform. Otherwise, for many business owners busy with running their business, WP requires quite a bit of knowledge, e.g., being careful of core updates breaking plug ins, or plug in updates not working with their WP install. Then there's backups, security, CDNs, image optimisation, caching, choosing a suitable host for their install, etc.

With your server, WordPress is very customizable and cheap CMS to manage.

Can be tricky to customise at first. There are many tricks you learn by using the software over time. Can be quite daunting at first as of where to start or how to edit minor details.

Opmerkingen: My overall experience with WordPress is pretty good I've been using them for years took me a while to learn how to use a platform as there's a little learning curve but this is the leading standard platform if you're building websites you should start with WordPress as if you master this every other builder will be easy for you to use as most nowadays are drag and drop.

Needs a plugin for everything. It can be very difficult to reach peak design & functionality. Very easy to set up basic site.

Good for enthusiastic newbies

Opmerkingen: I have been using it to maintain my website for three years now. I feel that I would need to learn a lot more to make more progress with the building of it, as for now I'm still looking very basic! Sometimes I wonder if build-in support could be more comprehensive.

It is reminiscent of old-style blogging and is fairly intuitive for building and maintaining a website. The tools are accessible and there is lots of support online if finding things hard. The layout is mostly clean and the site is generally responsive.

Sometimes there is jargon that could be offputting to someone starting out, and the purpose of some tools is not always immediately clear.

Although fairly straight forward, if you are not comfortable setting up a web application or SQL database or using PHP, installing and setting up WordPress could be tricky. Having said that there are plenty of tutorials available on the web and setup only has to be done once. Then you are free to make things as simple or as complicated as you want with the customisation of templates or the creation of your own.

My favorite tool when building any website

Opmerkingen: As for me, WordPress.com was a great way to get exposure and display my app projects in a matter of clicks. Working with a friendly interface and with a mobile version was a great convenience. Nevertheless, as I move forward, it is apparent that the customization limits and lack of plugins will lead me to want a self-hosted WordPress for more control and convenience.

Working as a mobile app developer, I found the mobile-friendly designs available on WordPress.com appealing. I could assure you that I am comfortable whether it is a blog or a portfolio as long as you are able to present it beautifully. Little do they know, even the blogging abilities built into the software are great – helping with writing articles and posting news.

From a developers point of view, I found the customization options a bit restrictive. There were some missing pieces when it came to micromanaging designing. Beyond this, the basic plan has many limitations on how many plugins and themes can be installed, which was somewhat annoying.

Uploading content is still easy on WP and if you have a good dev build an easy to use and simply designed site, it can be a great option for people just looking to change copy and upload blogs or template pages. Plug-ins help simplify what might be complex for new users such as analytics, tag manager or other integrations, and linking it with things such as Mailchimp and other services is easy.

Minpunten:

Designing on WP is clunky and feels 10 years out of date now. Whilst templates can help - making design amendments or customising blocks feels like running the risk of breaking a theme- and unless you are a front end developer and marketer, is too much of an investment of time Drag and drop editing is not intuitive (unless you have an excellent dev built theme) and you often have to lean on plugins to do jobs that are easy on other platforms. Creating modern, interactive sites that are also easy to amend and add to is too complicated and often not possible. Interactive elements feel like adding PowerPoint animations to your website often and take far longer than other platforms to build and test

Build Your Blog On Wordpress

I have been blogging with WordPress for over 12 years now. I enjoy the ability to build your own website or blog from scratch or using on of their themes. It is an easy platform to blog on due to the way the platform is built. For me, it’s easy to understand and easy to learn from creating blog posts to creating pages for your website that you have created. I like the fact that you get a domain with each purchase of a monthly plan.

Minpunten:

I don’t like the monthly price for my website because it seems too high. I also did not like that. WordPress has partnered with Jetpack. The entire thing seemed confusing at first until I figured it out.

Wordpress the best CMS

Opmerkingen: I like Wordpress, the interface (all menus on the left and the working area in the rest of the screen), there are many sections, some created by plugins. I mostly work with page section after I set the plugins I need.
Updates are frequent. You can have a preview in real time of your webpage (on desktop and mobile devices), speaking about tablet and smartphone I suggest to have a look from those devices instead of wordpress preview.
Wordpress is perfect for personal and business websites, many features of templates and plugin are free.
A really good CMS i recommend.

Wordpress is a free CMS that allows you to create many kind of websites. It has a lot of templates and plugin (both free or "premium") and you can build your website in many ways. I usually prefer using Elementor plugin. Setup is easy, you will need an already configured database to be linked to Wordpress. Even newbies can start producing websites, the learning curve is about one week or less. There is a lot of documentation on internet in case of need.
